The Internship Fair 2024, organized by CITRA and GenYouth, took place at Kompleks Perdana Siswa, Universiti Malaya, on the 2nd and 3rd of May, 2024. This much-anticipated event brought together a variety of influential figures, including Datin Winnie Loo, Dato' Lewre, Ms. Ma Yin Qiong, Ms. Camelia Loh, Ms. Phang Chin Howe, Mr. Nicholas Gan, Mr. Kang Teok, and Mr. Arthur Woo. Their presence provided invaluable insights and inspiration to the attendees, contributing to the overall success and prestige of the fair.
The topics presented by the speakers included "Future Stars with The Cloud," "Discovering Your Career," "Our Mindset and Attitude Determine Our Future & Career Success," "The Psychology of Success," "Brand Matters: Standing Out in the Entrepreneurial World," and "Adaptability and Resilience in Times of Change: Journey of a Young Entrepreneur."
The event saw the participation of 1101 University Malaya students from a diverse range of academic . These students had the unique opportunity to engage with representatives from 80 different companies, each offering potential internship positions. This interaction allowed students to explore various career paths, gain practical insights into their fields of interest, and potentially secure internships that aligned with their career aspirations. In addition to the corporate booths, the fair featured food trucks and stalls, adding a vibrant and festive atmosphere to the event.
The Internship Fair 2024 was structured into two main segments to maximize its benefits for attendees. The primary event, the internship fair itself, was held in the Auditorium of Kompleks Perdana Siswa, providing a centralized location for company-student interactions. Concurrently, a Preparatory Workshop took place in Block D of Kompleks Perdana Siswa. This workshop was designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge, preparing them for successful internship applications and future careers. Together, these components created a comprehensive and enriching experience for all participants.
