About ELITE@UM

Experiential Learning by Industry and Technocrat at University Malaya (ELITE@UM) is a programme that brings industry practitioners, technocrats, and subject-matter experts into the teaching and learning process at University Malaya. Appointed ELITE fellows share real-world knowledge and current industry practice directly with students, complementing the academic curriculum with hands-on professional insight.

The programme is coordinated by the Centre for Integral Learning (CITRA) and is open to all Responsibility Centres (PTj) and faculties across the university.

Programme Objectives:

  1. Strengthen graduate employability by exposing students to current industry practice and expectations.
  2. Bridge the gap between academic theory and workplace application through experiential learning.
  3. Build long-term collaboration between University Malaya and industry, government agencies, and professional bodies.
